How did you get into skiing? My parents actually met here at Tommy Bartlett’s about 30 years ago. They had the opportunity to travel together and water ski a few years before settling down and teaching both my brother and I how to water ski. I learned how to waterski when I was three years old, and started entering the show skiing circuit when I was 7.
What is your favorite part about skiing? I love to perform for full stadiums, and love to joke around and try new things with the other skiers.
Have you received any special awards or recognitions? I won Swivel at Wisconsin State in 2007 and have gotten 2nd place at Nationals twice, in 2007 and 2008.
What do you love about working at Tommy Bartlett? I just love the people, and being able to waterski as much as is humanly possible. It really is like summer camp!
What would you like everyone to know about the Bartlett show? There’s a reason it’s been here for 57 years.
What are some the of places you been to and seen because of your talent? I got to travel to China this past spring and perform for 10,000+ people. Now that was an adrenaline rush!
What are some of your favorite times backstage? Watching my friends (the skiers) do new things on the water, and sometimes watching them fall on things they usually never fall on.
What do you do in your spare time? I just graduated from college in Minnesota, and am now doing a little bit of marketing work for Tommy Bartlett. I also love to run, travel, cook and snow ski in the winter.
Favorite Wisconsin Dells Activity? The Original Wisconsin Ducks were a favorite since I was 7 or so.
Thanks Kelley!
